Independent Mediators Australia operates on the understanding that conflict is a natural part of the human condition, however addressing disputes at the earliest opportunity avoids unnecessary psychological distress, and enables parties to focus energies on the things that count. In a business context, this means that organisations can focus on what they do best and that teams can work collaboratively, professionally and maximise their potential.
As our name suggests, in order to resolve conflict we provide independent mediators to facilitate an evidence based process directly with those parties in conflict. To ensure a high quality and maintain our professional standards all our mediators are accredited under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) governed by the Mediator Standards Board http://www.msb.org.au
In the hands of our skilled mediators, disputes are often resolved through negotiation and at a fraction of the cost usually incurred through traditional use of the legal system. Mediation is a voluntary process and no one can impose a decision on the participating parties.
